Parker is big on community and celebration. The Parker Days Festival celebrates summer life in Parker with amusement rides, delicious food, live music, and family-friendly fun. A tradition since the 1970s, it’s one of the town’s most-popular events. Parker celebrates the spooky season with the Halloween Porch Parade. Each home decorates its house, porch, and yard with spooky decorations that were added to a directory so residents can walk or drive and enjoy the decor with prizes awarded for the best decorations. The Mayor’s Holiday Lighting kicks off the winter season with caroling, lighting of the tree and park, ice sculptures, food vendors, and a visit from Santa.
O’Brien Park is a neighborhood classic in every season. As the main sight for celebrations like the Holiday Lighting, it’s the heart of the community. O’Brien Park also features a water park for children, a playground, basketball courts and walking paths.
